Introducing our latest product, designed to offer even more flexibility:
LM SLR widefield microscope adapter for modern cameras with large sensors
Our newly developed adapter solution, featuring high-quality precision optics, has a significantly larger lens diameter compared to similar products, offering superior light-gathering capabilities and reducing exposure time by about half, which offers substantial benefits for demanding low-light microscopy applications, such as fluorescence microscopy. This makes our adapter a powerful tool for maximising the performance of modern mirrorless cameras, DSLRs and special-purpose microscope cameras.
On the microscope side, the adapter has a 30 mm tube connection, ideal for eyepiece tube installation. However, it is also compatible with C-mount connections for attachment to the phototube of the microscope.

The adapter solution is focusable, which enables an optical alignment of the image observed through the eyepiece with the image the camera sees through the phototube. The adapter, which comes with a filter holder with a 37 mm connecting thread as standard, also accommodates a variety of optical filters. More information is available here.
We would also like to introduce a system camera that is a fantastic option for photomicrography:
The Sony Alpha 9 III: ultra-fast powerhouse is not just a game changer for media professionals, sports photography and journalism, but also a great option for photomicrography
With the introduction of a global shutter for exposure control in the Alpha 9 III, Sony has set a milestone, making it the world’s first camera with a global shutter full-frame image sensor. Because the entire image sensor is read out at once, gone are the days of distortions in fast moving scenes. This makes the Alpha 9 III, which is designed for sports and action photography, a great option for capturing moving subjects and specimens under the microscope with greater precision and clarity.
For more specifics on the global shutter and its benefits for photomicrography, check out our camera review on the following page.
