Optimal illumination for different sensor chip sizes

Comparing conventional adapters for non-digital SLR cameras with the new LM Digital SLR Adapter

Sensor dimensions different camera types

Conventional adapter for non-digital SLR cameras:

field of view microscope image conventional adapter solution

Half format digital SLR camera models use to have a focal length magnification (e.g. 1.5 times) and can only show a small part of the visual eyepiece picture with a conventional full format SLR adapter. This happens because the half format digital SLR camera's rectangle is smaller than the microscopes eyepiece picture.

LM Digital SLR Adapter:

Our LM Digital SLR Adapters are designed for a wide range of digital SLR cameras and provide a high resolution, rectangularly illuminated, full-size digital image.

From the visual field of view the largest rectangle possible of the sensor chip is covered.

Illuminated area on different camera sensors

Due to its special hard anti-reflecting coating optics, our LM Digital SLR Adapters project the image full-size and without vignetting (black corners) onto the SLR camera´s sensor chip.

With our LM Digital SLR Adapters you get high resolution, best-quality microscope images.
